LEADERSHIP COACHING
One on one coaching guidance and support to increase leader’s effectiveness in their current work situation.
What this is?
Coaching is a teaching or training process in which an individual gets support while learning to achieve a specific personal or professional result or goal. Sometimes coaching is provided when a client (the leader or manager) deems it necessary for his/her own professional and personal development. Sometimes coaching comes because the dynamic is mandated by circumstances, such as being an apprentice, or encouraged by a board a senior manager. Coaching can be informal, brief affairs or formal in structure and purpose.
What is involved?
Since coaching by ACCESS Leadership is focused on development, there is usually a starting point, often accompanied by an assessment (our ACCESS model), and a mutually-agreed upon ending point, again often accompanied by another assessment, hence a “before” and “after”. Goals of the coaching dynamic are defined through the use of the ACCESS model, and a written contract as to purpose, focus, contacts (phone and in-person), reporting of progress, is determined early.
Why it matters?
Leaders need to know not only what to do but how to do it, and traversing the twin slippery slopes of management (controlling, directing) AND leadership (inspiring, motivating, visioning) is a challenge. Coaching by an ACCESS Leadership provides the support and help, on a confidential basis, that leaders recognize is necessary in today’s work environments.
What’s different with us?
Coaching, through ACCESS leadership, with our emphasis on discovering answers within oneself against a vibrant model fostering self-accountability, provides a superb environment of support for fast-track growth and development to greater effectiveness.
LEADER SUCCESSION
Enables an organization to prepare the leaders it needs for the future.
What this is?
Never before has top-caliber leadership been more critical to securing an organization's future growth and success. Succession planning as a strategy is a necessary investment for achieving a long-term vision. Who will show up, and how they will step up are important components of a leader succession plan.
What is involved?
Leader succession planning includes understanding in the foundations and the fissures of the organization’s previous history, identifying and celebrating leader characteristics, modeling through the ACCESS model, feedback through assessment, and coaching and training opportunities to foster any necessary growth and development
Why it matters?
The leadership of an organization includes all who supervise employees or business/ administrative functions. Often these leaders acquire a deep knowledge of company structure and operational procedures in order to manage their workers and production and instill characteristics desirable for sustainable growth. When organizations lose members of their leadership, a knowledge or wisdom gap arises. Succession planning ensures future leaders will be available to take over supervision, motivation and functional oversight from leaders who leave.
What’s different with us?
The ACCESS Model provides the framework for a comprehensive, leadership sequencing and growth model that fosters awareness, character, community, empowerment, service and sustainability.
